Progetto E+ KA107 Mobility Project (Albania)
Erasmus+ KA107 International Credit Mobility
In 2019 the University of Salento was beneficiary of Europe funding in the framework of the Erasmus+ Program – KA107 - Higher education student and staff mobility between Programme and Partner Countries (International Credit Mobility).
International Credit Mobility projects aim to help individual participants acquire skills, to support their professional development and deepen their understanding of cultures. They also aim to increase the capacities, attractiveness and international dimension of the organisations taking part.
The Key Action 107, which aims at involving individuals and organisations from outside Europe, provides the opportunity for student, teaching and administrative staff mobility over a period of 36 months, based on mobility agreements in force among the three departments of UniSalento and their counterparts in Partner Countries around the world.
DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES
Project Name: Albania
Duration: 36 months
Project activities foster the process of capacity-building through cooperative interventions that will help improve acquisition of language skills and strengthen the internationalization strategies of the institutions involved, the University of Salento and the University of Vlorë. belonging the latter to a country, Albania, which is candidate to join the European Union. The collaboration between the two institutions also aims at the promotion of linguistic diversity, intercultural awareness and the development of language learning through the use of new technologies.
Particularly, activities of staff mobility between the two universities aim to strengthen interinstitutional collaboration, to improve the teaching of either Albanian language in Italy and Italian language in Albania, continuing the telecollaboration activity between peers mediated by technologies (Teletandem) and developing material of self-learning and self-assessment to support online teaching.
The previous experiences of collaboration and planning between the two institutions have already allowed to prove the usefulness of the comparison and discussion on disciplinary contents and teaching methods, and now it is necessary to deepen and specialize the experiences acquired in view of an enhancement and strengthening of the human, management and organizational resources already existing to improve the quality of training courses and provide positive repercussions in terms of employment.
In this current phase of the project, both universities intend to continue the actions undertaken, enhancing the learning of specialized languages in the field of tourism and their application on the web through the use of innovative technologies in a cross-cultural perspective, as a reflection of the strategic role that this sector plays for the economy of the regions involved.
The project includes 6 Teaching and Training mobility grants for a period of 7 to 9 days each.
